How do you pull a radio out of 2000 Ford Zetec?

To pull a radio out of a 2000 Ford Zetec, follow these steps:

Tools Needed:

* Phillips head screwdriver

* Flat head screwdriver

* 9/32 nut driver and 7mm socket and socket wrench

Procedure:

1. Remove the two Phillips head screws holding the trim assembly around the stereo in place and remove

2. Gently pry down on the trim ring at the bottom edges on either side so to unclip then lift up gently but forcefully to disconnect 2 more clips up higher (this may take a fair amount of effort) but don't pry straight up on it as the tabs can't bend that way; 2 long flat bladed screw drivers or small straight pry bars may help here once the lower clips break loose). Slide trim piece forward and put aside

3. Remove (4) 7mm head phillips screws that attach radio bracket

4. Disconnect power lead (large round one on back right or right rear) that's clipped (unclips with a good sharp tug - pull straight out towards dash - don't twist - it doesn't disconnect that direction); remove the radio by pulling forward. Once out be sure the cable clip/clamp on dash connector didn't stay with radio/bracket
