Remove the dash cluster to check connections. There may be a loose connection or burnt out bulb. There may also be a larger issue with the wiring behind the dash. Be sure to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery as a precaution before going too deep into the dash cluster.
Check brake light fuses. Some vehicles share a fuse between the parking lights and the brake lights.
