1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the battery, which is typically located in the engine bay on the passenger side of the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the negative (black) terminal of the battery by loosening the nut or bolt that holds it in place and then removing the cable from the terminal.
4. Disconnect the positive (red) terminal of the battery in the same manner.
5. Remove the battery hold-down clamp or bracket if necessary.
6. Lift the battery out of the engine bay.
When reinstalling the battery, be sure to reconnect the positive terminal first, followed by the negative terminal. Tighten the nuts or bolts on the terminals securely to ensure a good connection.
