To bypass the heating coil on a 1999 Cadillac, follow these steps:
Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical shock from occurring while you are working.
Locate the heating coil. The heating coil is located under the dashboard, on the passenger side of the car.
Disconnect the heating coil. Disconnect the two electrical connectors that are attached to the heating coil.
Remove the heating coil. Remove the four bolts that hold the heating coil in place, and then remove the heating coil from the car.
Install the bypass hose. Install a bypass hose in place of the heating coil. The bypass hose should be the same size as the heating coil, and it should be made of a flexible material.
Connect the battery. Reconnect the battery to the car.
Start the car and check for leaks. Start the car and check for leaks around the bypass hose. If there are any leaks, tighten the hose clamps until the leaks stop.
