1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical accidents from happening while you are working on the heater fan motor.
2. Remove the air intake duct. The air intake duct is located on the passenger side of the engine bay. It is held in place by a few screws. Remove the screws and then carefully remove the air intake duct.
3. Remove blower housing. It is located on the passenger side of the engine bay, beneath the air intake duct. It is held in place by several screws. Remove the screws and then remove the blower housing.
4. Remove the heater fan motor. The heater fan motor is located inside the blower housing. It is held in place by a few screws. Remove the screws and then carefully remove the heater fan motor.
5. Install the new heater fan motor. Carefully place the new heater fan motor into the blower housing. Make sure that the fan blades are facing in the correct direction. Secure the heater fan motor in place with the screws that you removed earlier.
6. Reinstall the blower housing. Carefully place the blower housing back onto the vehicle. Make sure that the gasket is properly seated between the blower housing and the heater case. Secure the blower housing in place with the screws that you removed earlier.
7. Reinstall the air intake duct. Carefully place the air intake duct back onto the vehicle. Make sure that the air intake duct is properly connected to the air filter housing. Secure the air intake duct in place with the screws that you removed earlier.
8. Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the positive and negative battery terminals.
9. Test the heater fan motor. Turn on the ignition and turn the heater fan on. Make sure that the heater fan is working properly.
