Step 1: Locate the reset button. The reset button is usually located under the dashboard, near the steering column. It may be labeled "reset," "security," or "theft."
Step 2: Press and hold the reset button. Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds, or until the theft light turns off.
Step 3: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position. If the theft light is still on, turn the key to the "Off" position and repeat steps 1 and 2.
Step 4: Start the car. The car should now start normally.
