What would be the cause of your car to shutt off when accelerate?

1. Insufficient fuel supply. When you press the gas pedal, the fuel pump sends more gasoline to the engine. If the fuel pump or fuel filter is clogged, the engine will not get enough gasoline and will shut off.

2. Clogged fuel injectors. The fuel injectors spray gasoline into the engine cylinders. If they become clogged, the engine will not get enough gasoline and will shut off.

3. Failing ignition system. The ignition system creates a spark that ignites the gasoline in the cylinders. If any of the components of the ignition system (spark plugs, wires, coil) are failing, the engine will not get enough spark and will shut off.

4. Faulty oxygen sensor. The oxygen sensor measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas. If it is faulty, the engine will not get the correct air/fuel mixture and will shut off.

5. Vacuum leaks. Vacuum leaks can cause the engine to run lean (too much air, not enough fuel). This can cause the engine to shut off.

6. Transmission slipping: If your transmission is slipping, it will not be able to transfer the engine's power to the wheels properly. This can cause the car to bog down and stall.

7. Overheating: If your car is overheating, the engine can overheat and shut down in order to protect itself from damage.

8. Electrical issues: If there are any electrical issues in your car, such as a loose or corroded wire, this could also cause the car to shut off while accelerating.
