1. Locate the fuse box on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
2. Find the fuse labeled 'Brake Light'.
3. Remove the fuse.
4. Check the fuse for damage. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same amperage.
5. If the fuse is not blown, the stop light switch may be faulty.
6. To access the stop light switch, you will need to remove the lower part of the steering column cover.
7. The stop light switch is located just above the brake pedal.
8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the stop light switch.
9. Remove the two bolts that hold the stop light switch in place.
10. Take out the old stop light switch and discard it.
11. Install the new stop light switch and tighten the bolts.
12. Reconnect the electrical connector to the stop light switch.
13. Replace the lower part of the steering column cover.
14. Put back in the 'Brake Light' fuse.
15. Test the stop lights to make sure they are working correctly.
