1. Locate the oil filter housing.
* It is on the passenger side of the engine, near the top.
2. Remove the oil filler cap.
* This will allow the air to circulate out of the engine as the oil is draining out of the housing.
3. Place an oil drain pan under the oil filter housing.
4. Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter.
* Turn the oil filter counterclockwise until it is hand-loose.
5. Remove the oil filter.
* Once it is completely loosened, remove the oil filter.
6. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
* This will help to create a seal and prevent leaks.
7. Screw the new oil filter onto the oil filter housing.
* Tighten the filter until it is snug.
8. Replace the oil filler cap.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* This will allow the new oil to circulate throughout the engine.
10. Check the oil level and add more oil if necessary.
