1. Park the car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and disconnect the battery.
3. Remove the air filter housing.
4. Remove the bolt that holds the shift cable bracket to the transmission.
5. Disconnect the shift cable from the transmission.
6. Disconnect the shift cable from the shift lever.
7. Remove the shift cable from the car.
8. Install the new shift cable in reverse order of removal.
