Method 1: Using the emergency trunk release
1. Locate the emergency trunk release. It is usually located in the glove compartment or under the steering wheel.
2. Insert the key into the emergency trunk release and turn it clockwise.
3. The trunk should now be open.
Method 2: Using the key to manually unlock the trunk
1. Insert the key into the driver's door lock and turn it clockwise until it stops.
2. Pull on the door handle and open the door.
3. Turn the key counterclockwise until it stops.
4. The trunk should now be open.
Method 3: Using a jump starter to open the trunk
1. Connect the positive terminal of the jump starter to the positive terminal of the battery in the trunk.
2. Connect the negative terminal of the jump starter to an unpainted metal surface on the vehicle.
3. Start the jump starter.
4. Press and hold the trunk release button on the key fob.
5. The trunk should now be open.
Once you have opened the trunk, you will be able to access the battery and replace it.
