Change the battery on a 2003 BMW r1150rt?

To change the battery on a 2003 BMW R1150RT, follow these steps:

1. Park the motorcycle on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Locate the battery. It is located in the front of the motorcycle, under the rider's seat.

3. Remove the seat. To do this, turn the key located on the left side of the motorcycle and lift the seat off the motorcycle.

4. Disconnect the battery cables. There are two battery cables, a red cable, and a black cable. Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the nuts on the battery cables and then disconnect the cables.

5. Remove the battery from the motorcycle. The battery is held in place by a rubber strap. Remove the strap and lift the battery out of the motorcycle.

6. Install the new battery in the motorcycle. Place the new battery in the battery box and secure it with the rubber strap.

7. Connect the battery cables. Connect the red cable to the positive terminal on the battery and the black cable to the negative terminal on the battery.

8. Tighten the nuts on the battery cables. Use a 10mm wrench to tighten the nuts until they are snug.

9. Replace the seat. To do this, align the seat with the mounting brackets on the motorcycle and press down until it clicks into place.

10. Start the motorcycle and check the battery voltage. The battery voltage should be between 12.8 and 14.0 volts.

If the battery voltage is not correct, you may need to adjust the voltage regulator. The voltage regulator is located under the right side cover of the motorcycle.
