Park the vehicle on a level surface, and apply the parking brake.
Press and hold the brake pedal.
Locate the shift interlock override button on the center console. The button is usually located near the gearshift lever.
Press and hold the shift interlock override button while simultaneously moving the gearshift lever to the desired position.
Release the brake pedal and the shift interlock override button.
The vehicle should now be able to be shifted into gear without pressing the brake pedal.
Please note that overriding the shift interlock is not recommended and should only be done in emergency situations. Overriding the shift interlock can lead to unintended movement of the vehicle and could result in an accident.
