1. Open the driver's door.
2. Pull up on the plastic panel to the right of the steering wheel.
3. Press the black button labeled "Tailgate".
4. The tailgate will open.
Alternative tailgate release
* Use the key in the driver's door lock.
* Turn the key to the left and hold it there.
* Pull up on the tailgate handle and then release it.
* The tailgate will open.
