What kind of engine is in a 1977 Corvette?

The 1977 Corvette offered several engine options:

* L48: A 5.7L (350 cubic inch) small-block V8, the most common engine. It produced around 185 hp.

* L82: A higher-performance version of the 5.7L (350 cubic inch) small-block V8, producing around 210 hp. This was the "performance" option for the year.

There wasn't a big-block option available in the 1977 Corvette.
