To open the hood:
1. Locate the hood release lever: Feel around the area under the dashboard described above. You might need a flashlight.
2. Pull the lever: Once you find it, pull the lever firmly.
3. Go to the front of the vehicle: You should now be able to lift the hood. There might be a hood prop or latch you need to release or manipulate to keep the hood up. Look for a small catch near the grille that might need to be pulled or pushed after opening the hood.
If you can't find the lever inside the vehicle, there's a slim chance there might be a secondary emergency release under the hood itself (but this is less common on this model). This would require getting access to the hood from the outside, possibly by removing a grille component, which is more difficult.
