Turbo Blue is a high-octane racing fuel formulated for high-performance engines designed to handle its properties. A 2002 Ford Taurus is a standard production vehicle with a relatively low-compression engine. Using such high-octane fuel in a vehicle not designed for it can cause serious damage, including:
* Engine damage: The engine's control system isn't calibrated for the high octane level. This can lead to misfires, detonation (knocking), and potential catastrophic engine failure.
