The largest displacement engine that was ever officially offered by Chevrolet as a "small-block" was the 400 cubic inch (6.6 liter) engine, although even this categorization can be debated depending on specific definitions. Many aftermarket companies continue to build and modify small-block engines significantly exceeding this displacement.
