The crankshaft position sensor (CKP sensor) on a 2000 Mercury Villager (which shares its drivetrain with the Nissan Quest) is located on the transmission bellhousing, near the crankshaft flange. It's usually mounted on the side of the bellhousing, close to where the crankshaft sticks out.
