The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) on a 1996 Buick Regal with the 3.8L engine is located on the
passenger side of the engine block, near the
front of the engine,
below the distributor. It's usually mounted fairly low and may be difficult to see without removing some components. You'll likely need to get underneath the car for the best access.
