To find the correct fuse or relay:
1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the most reliable source. The manual will have a diagram showing the fuse box locations and what each fuse controls. Look for a fuse or relay related to the fuel pump, fuel injection, or the engine control module (ECM).
2. Check the under-hood fuse box: This is the most common location for fuses and relays related to engine components. The fuse box cover usually has a diagram printed on the inside.
3. Check the interior fuse box (passenger compartment): Some Ford Focus models also have a fuse box inside the cabin, usually located near the dashboard or under the steering wheel. Again, check the diagram on the cover.
Important Note: A blown fuse is often a *symptom* of a larger problem. Simply replacing a blown fuse without addressing the underlying cause (e.g., a short circuit) can lead to further damage and even a fire. If you find a blown fuse, it's best to have a mechanic diagnose the root cause before replacing it. It may not even be the *fuse* itself that's the problem but the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump itself.
