To find it, you need to:
1. Check your owner's manual: This is the best place to start. The manual should have a diagram of the fuse box(es) and clearly indicate which fuse is for the fog lights.
2. Inspect the fuse box under the hood: This is the most likely location for the fog lamp fuse if they are factory-installed. Look for a fuse box diagram on the inside of the lid. The diagram usually shows the amperage rating for each fuse and what circuit it protects. Look for fuses of a higher amperage (10-20 amps is typical) which are more likely to protect a power-consuming item like fog lights.
3. Check the fuse box inside the cab (if applicable): Some Dodge Rams also have an additional fuse box inside the cab, usually near the steering column or under the dashboard. Again, consult the owner's manual for the diagram.
4. Look for a relay: Fog lights often use a relay, which is a small switch that controls the higher current draw of the lights. The fuse might protect the relay circuit, rather than the lights directly.
5. If you have aftermarket fog lights: The fuse location for aftermarket fog lights will depend entirely on how they were wired. You'll have to trace the wiring back to find the fuse or circuit breaker protecting them. It might even be a fuse added by the installer in a completely different location.
