The Volvo 2.3L I4 engine is a naturally aspirated inline-four gasoline engine that was produced by Volvo from 1988 to 2006. It was available in both turbocharged and non-turbocharged versions, and was used in a variety of Volvo models, including the Volvo 740, 940, 960, S40, S60, S70, V40, V70, and XC70.
