What are the cylinder locations on a Ford 4.6 liter engine?

The Ford 4.6L Modular engine uses a standard V8 firing order, but the physical cylinder numbering is a bit counter-intuitive if you're used to looking at the engine from the front.

The cylinders are numbered sequentially from the passenger side (right side when looking at the engine from the front) to the driver's side (left). Therefore:

* Passenger Side (Right): Cylinders 1, 3, 5, 7

* Driver's Side (Left): Cylinders 2, 4, 6, 8

Remember that this numbering is based on the physical location on the engine block. The firing order (the sequence in which the cylinders ignite) is a different sequence entirely (typically 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2, but can vary slightly depending on the specific year and application).
