Despite what has happened earlier on this year with the Volkswagen emissions scandal, GM will continue to move forward with diesel engines in cars and light trucks.
Currently on the market, is the Chevrolet Cruze with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine. They are planning on offering a new 1.6-liter diesel on the next-generation Cruze, due next year.
Other diesels in production are the Chevy Colorado and the GMC Canyon (midsize pickups).
