* A brake control unit
* A wiring harness
* A drill
* A 1/2-inch drill bit
* A 7/16-inch drill bit
* A flat-blade screwdriver
* A Phillips-head screwdriver
* A pair of wire cutters
* A pair of pliers
* A roll of electrical tape
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will prevent the vehicle from starting while you are working on the wiring.
2. Find a suitable location for the brake control unit. It should be mounted in a location where it is easy to reach, but where it will not interfere with the operation of the vehicle.
3. Drill a 1/2-inch hole through the firewall in the chosen location. This hole will be used to route the wiring harness from the brake control unit to the vehicle's wiring system.
4. Run the wiring harness through the hole in the firewall. Connect the red wire from the harness to the positive battery terminal, the black wire to the negative battery terminal, and the white wire to the brake light switch.
5. Use the 7/16-inch drill bit to drill a hole in the brake pedal arm. This hole will be used to mount the brake control actuator.
6. Mount the brake control actuator to the brake pedal arm using the supplied hardware.
7. Connect the brake control actuator to the wiring harness using the supplied connectors.
8. Test the brake control by pressing the brake pedal. The brake lights should come on and the brake control unit should activate.
9. Replace the negative battery terminal.
10. Secure the wiring harness and brake control unit with the supplied zip ties.
Note: The specific wiring instructions may vary depending on the model of brake control unit that you are using. Be sure to read and follow the instructions that are included with your brake control unit.
