Here is a step-by-step guide to show you the location of fuel pressure test port on 4.0L Engine.
Step 1 - Locate the fuel injection rail.
It is a metal bar that runs along the top of the engine.
Step 2 - Look for the Schrader valve.
The fuel pressure test port will be located on one end of the rail, usually closer to the front of the engine.
Step 3 - Remove the cap from the Schrader valve.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver or your fingernail to pry the cap off.
Step 4 - Connect the fuel pressure test gauge.
- Screw the fuel pressure gauge into the Schrader valve. Make sure that the connection is tight.
Step 5 - Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- The fuel pressure should be between 30 and 40 psi.
