After installing a fuel filter in 1997 Mazda 626 LX what is the procedure for starting car if it cranks but sounds as not getting fuel?

1. Open the fuel cap and make sure there is fuel in the tank.

2. Look for any kink or block on fuel lines.

3. Locate the fuel filter and make sure it is properly installed.

4. Check fuel pressure.

5. Prime the fuel system.

-Turn the ignition switch on and off three times. This will cycle the fuel pump and pressurize the fuel line.

- Try to start the engine

- If the car still doesn't start, repeat the process a few more times.

6. If the car still cranks but doesn’t start, you may need to have a mechanic check the fuel system.

To prime the fuel system after installing a new fuel filter:

- Turn the key to the "On" position, but don't start the engine.

- This will turn on the fuel pump and pressurize the fuel system.

- You should hear the fuel pump running for a few seconds.

-Turn off the key and wait a few minutes.

- Repeat this process a few times.

- Then, try to start the engine.
