- Replacement knock sensor
Instructions:
1.) Locate the knock sensor. On the 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo, the knock sensor is located on the back of the engine block, just below the intake manifold.
2.) Disconnect the electrical connector from the knock sensor.
3.) Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the bolt holding the knock sensor in place.
4.) Remove the knock sensor from the engine block.
5.) Install the new knock sensor.
6.) Tighten the bolt holding the knock sensor in place.
7.) Reattach the electrical connector to the knock sensor.
