The fuel filter is located under the vehicle, near the fuel tank. It is a cylindrical-shaped component with two fuel lines connected to it. The fuel filter is usually black or gray in color.
To access the fuel filter:
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Crawl under the vehicle and locate the fuel filter.
4. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter by pressing down on the release tabs and pulling the lines off the filter.
5. Remove the fuel filter by unscrewing it from the fuel line.
6. Install the new fuel filter by screwing it into the fuel line until it is snug.
7. Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter by pushing them onto the filter until they click into place.
8. Start the engine and check for leaks.
Tips:
* When removing the fuel lines, be careful not to spill any fuel.
* If you do spill any fuel, be sure to clean it up immediately.
