- Locate the drain plug on the ATV.
- Remove the drain plug and allow all the oil to drain out.
- Replace the drain plug.
- Remove the four bolts holding the oil filter cover in place.
- Remove the oil filter cover and lift out the old oil filter.
- Apply a thin coat of new oil to the new oil filter's gasket.
- Turn the new oil filter in place by hand until it is hand tight.
- Tighten the oil filter cover bolts in a crisscross pattern to 29 ft.-lbs. (39 N-m).
