1. Park the lawn tractor on a level surface.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Locate the transmission oil dipstick. It is usually located on the side of the transmission case near the top.
4. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.
5. Insert the dipstick back into the transmission case until it is seated.
6. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. The oil level should be between the “FULL” and “ADD” marks on the dipstick.
7. If the oil level is low, add enough oil of the specified type to bring the oil level to the correct mark.
8. Replace the dipstick.
