Why does my engine shake more than usual?

1. Spark plugs. A worn-out or malfunctioning spark plug can cause the engine to run rough and shake, as the spark is not strong enough to fully ignite the fuel in the cylinder.

2. Fuel injectors. If one or more fuel injectors are dirty, clogged, or malfunctioning, it can cause the fuel mixture in the cylinder to be incorrect and cause the engine to shake.

3. Engine mounts. The engine mounts are responsible for absorbing vibrations from the engine and preventing them from being transmitted to the chassis. Over time, the engine mounts can become worn out or broken, allowing the engine to vibrate more than usual.

4. Driveline components. A worn-out driveline component, such as a driveshaft or CV joint, can also cause the engine to shake.

5. Vacuum leak. A vacuum leak can also cause the engine to shake, as the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder is not correct.

6. Faulty ignition coils or wires. Faulty ignition coils or wires can also cause the engine to shake, as they are responsible for delivering spark to the spark plugs.

7. Engine compression issues. Issues with the engine's compression, such as a leaky head gasket or worn piston rings, can cause the engine to run rough and shake.
