1) Remove the valve covers.
2) Locate the hydraulic lifter that you need to adjust.
3) Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to gently push down on the lifter until the plunger is fully depressed.
4) While holding the plunger down, turn the engine over by hand until the lifter is at the top of its travel.
5) Release the plunger and allow the lifter to return to its normal position.
6) Repeat steps 3-5 until the lifter is properly seated.
7) Replace the valve covers.
8) Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
9) Check the oil pressure and make sure that it is within specifications.
10) If the oil pressure is within specifications, you are finished.
