It isn't recommended to substitute R-22 with R-410A or do vice versa as they belong to distinct refrigerant and operating pressure classes. Refrigerant substitutes may compromise the system operation by causing damage to seals and o-rings, oil and refrigerant loss, increased wear and tear of compressor valves, reduced cooling capacity, diminished equipment lifespan, reduced energy efficiency, etc.
The use of refrigerants should always comply with the original design specifications of the air-conditioning and refrigeration system to ensure safe and efficient performance.
