1. Locate the idle speed adjustment screw. It is located on the driver's side of the engine, near the back. It is a small, black plastic knob with a screwdriver slot.
2. Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature.
3. Turn the idle speed adjustment screw clockwise to increase the idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease it.
4. Adjust the idle speed to 800-900 RPM in neutral.
5. Test the idle speed by putting the transmission in gear. The idle speed should remain steady.
6. If necessary, make further adjustments to the idle speed adjustment screw.
Note: If the idle speed is too high, the engine may stall or surge. If the idle speed is too low, the engine may not start or run smoothly.
