What fuel does a hybrid use?

Hybrid cars use both gasoline and electricity as fuel. They have both a traditional internal combustion engine that runs on gasoline, as well as an electric motor powered by energy stored in a battery. The type of gasoline used in hybrid cars is usually the unleaded 87 octanes. Some manufacturers recommend higher octanes like 91, so it always pays to follow the car manual.
