Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical shorts from occurring while you are working on the amplifier and subwoofer.

Remove the rear seats. The rear seats in the Audi A3 are held in place by four bolts. Remove these bolts and then lift the seats up and out of the car.

Remove the side panels in the trunk. The side panels in the trunk are held in place by a few plastic clips. Pry these clips loose and then lift the panels off.
Step 4
Find the amplifier and subwoofer. The amplifier and subwoofer are located on the left side of the trunk. The amplifier is a black box with a cooling fan on top. The subwoofer is a large, round speaker.
Step 5
Disconnect the speaker wires from the amplifier. The speaker wires are connected to the amplifier with small clips. Pry these clips loose and then disconnect the speaker wires.
Step 6
Disconnect the power and ground wires from the amplifier. The power and ground wires are connected to the amplifier with two nuts. Loosen these nuts and then disconnect the wires.
Step 7
Remove the amplifier and subwoofer. Once the amplifier and subwoofer are disconnected, you can remove them from the car.
Step 8
Reinstall the rear seats and side panels. Reinstall the rear seats and side panels in the reverse order that you removed them.
Step 9
Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the battery to the car's electrical system.
