1. Pull the bonnet release lever.
- Locate the bonnet release lever inside the car, usually on the driver's side footwell.
- Pull firmly to release the bonnet catch.
2. Locate the secondary bonnet release mechanism.
- Once the lever is pulled locate the secondary release catch underneath the front of the bonnet.
- It's usually a small black knob or lever.
3. Pull the secondary bonnet release mechanism.
- Pull the secondary release mechanism to release the bonnet completely.
4. Lift up the bonnet.
- Once both mechanisms are released, lift up the front edge of the bonnet.
- The bonnet will be held up by gas struts.
