1. Locate the emergency bonnet release lever. This is usually located in the footwell on the driver's side.
2. Pull the emergency bonnet release lever. This will release the bonnet catch, allowing you to open the bonnet.
3. If the emergency bonnet release lever is broken, you may need to use a long, thin tool, such as a screwdriver, to manually release the bonnet catch. To do this, insert the tool into the small hole located next to the bonnet catch and push down until the catch is released.
4. Once the bonnet is open, you will need to repair or replace the broken release cable.
