Where is cam position sensor on 1993 ford ranger?

The camshaft position sensor (CMP) on a 1993 Ford Ranger is located on the distributor. Since the 1993 Ranger uses a distributor ignition system, the CMP is integrated into the distributor itself. You won't find a separate CMP sensor like you would on later vehicles with coil-on-plug ignition. Therefore, you'll need to replace the entire distributor if the CMP sensor is faulty.
