1. Slow down and proceed with caution. Do not attempt to pass the aircraft. It is a dangerous situation and approaching the aircraft at a high speed can result in a collision.
2. Turn on the low beam headlights (dipped headlights). High beam headlights can temporarily blind the pilot and make landing even more difficult.
3. Pull off to the side of the road and wait until the aircraft has taken off. It is illegal to drive within 1,000 feet (305 meters) of an aircraft that is taking off or landing.
