How do you remove a kubota kx41 fuel tank?

To Remove the Kubota KX41 Fuel Tank you will need:

8mm Box Wrench, Safety Glasses, New fuel filter, Rag, 5 gallon Fuel can.

1. Park your Kubota KX41 on level ground. Engage the parking brake. Shut the engine off and and allow it to cool. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Locate the fuel tank. The fuel tank is located on the left side of the engine, just below the seat.

3. Remove the fuel cap. Use the 8mm box wrench to loosen the fuel cap and remove it.

4. Disconnect the fuel line. There are two fuel lines that connect to the fuel tank. One is a supply line that runs from the fuel tank to the engine and the other is the return line that runs from the engine back to the fuel tank. Disconnect the fuel lines by sliding the hose clamps back and pulling the lines off the fuel tank.

5. Remove the fuel tank bracket. There are two bolts that hold the fuel tank bracket in place. Remove the bolts and remove the fuel tank bracket.

6. Lift the fuel tank out of the machine. Be careful not to spill any fuel.

7. Remove the fuel filter. If you are using a new fuel filter, the new filter will come with a new o-ring. Remove the old o-ring and install the new o-ring on the fuel filter. Install the fuel filter in the fuel tank.

8. Reinstall the fuel tank. Lift the fuel tank into the machine and align it with the fuel tank bracket. Install the fuel tank bracket and tighten the bolts.

9. Reconnect the fuel lines. Slide the hose clamps back over the fuel lines and connect the lines to the fuel tank.

10. Reinstall the fuel cap. Install the fuel cap and tighten it until it is snug. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.

11. Start the engine and check for leaks. Look for any leaks around the fuel tank, fuel lines, and fuel filter. If you see any leaks, tighten the connections until the leaks stop.
