What did the first tank look like?

The first tank was called "Mother" and it was built by the British during World War I. It had a large rectangular shape with a rounded front section. It was covered with metal plates and had a rotating gun turret on top. The tank was powered by a petrol engine and could reach speeds of up to 5 miles per hour. It was armed with two 6 pounder guns and several machine guns. The tank was used in combat for the first time in the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
