How do you adjust carburetor on a 350 warrior?

Adjusting a carburetor can be a delicate process, but it can make a significant difference in the performance and fuel efficiency of your 350 Warrior. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you adjust the carburetor on your 350 Warrior:

1. Gather the Necessary Tools:

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flathead screwdriver

- Metric wrenches (7mm, 8mm, 10mm)

2. Prepare the Quad:

- Turn off the engine and let it cool down completely.

- Remove the seat by pulling it up and back.

- Locate the carburetor on the left side of the engine.

3. Adjust the Idle Speed Screw:

- Start by adjusting the idle speed screw. This screw is usually located on the left side of the carburetor, near the throttle cable.

- Turn the screw counterclockwise to increase idle speed and clockwise to decrease idle speed.

- The ideal idle speed for the 350 Warrior is between 1350 to 1500 RPM. Use a tachometer to check the RPM accurately.

4. Adjust the Fuel Mixture Screw:

- Next, adjust the fuel mixture screw. This screw is usually located near the bottom of the carburetor, facing backward.

- Turn the screw counterclockwise to make the mixture richer (more fuel) and clockwise to make the mixture leaner (less fuel).

- The ideal fuel mixture setting varies based on the conditions, but generally, a richer mixture is recommended for cold weather and a leaner mixture for hot weather.

5. Check the Float Adjustment:

- The float is responsible for controlling the fuel level in the carburetor. Checking and adjusting the float level is important for proper fuel delivery.

- To check the float level, you need to remove the float bowl by unscrewing the bowl nut at the bottom of the carburetor.

- Measure the distance between the float bowl gasket surface and the float tang (the small part that touches the needle valve).

- The float level specification for the 350 Warrior is 29.5 mm ± 2 mm (measured with the carburetor held upside down).

- If necessary, adjust the float level by bending the float tang gently.

6. Reassemble and Test:

- Once you're done with the adjustments, reassemble the carburetor and reinstall the seat.

- Start the engine and let it warm up.

- Check the idle speed again and make any necessary fine adjustments.

- Test the quad by riding it and ensure that the engine performs well and responds smoothly to throttle input.

Note:

If you're not confident in performing carburetor adjustments yourself, it's best to consult a professional or an experienced mechanic. Incorrect adjustments can lead to improper engine performance or damage to the carburetor.
