1. Turn off the ignition and park your motorcycle in a safe location.
2. Underneath the seat of the Shadow, you will find the electrical junction box.
3. Open the electrical junction box and take off the cover.
4. Refer to the fuse diagram on the inside of the lid of the electrical junction box to locate the headlight fuse.
* The fuse for the headlight is usually located in the top right corner of the fuse diagram and labeled as "Headlight".
5. Using a pair of needlenose pliers, carefully remove the headlight fuse from its socket.
6. Inspect the fuse to see if it is blown.
* A blown fuse will have a broken filament inside.
7. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage rating.
8. Put the cover back on the electrical junction box.
9. Turn the ignition on to check if the headlight fuse is working properly.
Here is a more detailed description of the fuse box and its contents:
The fuse box is located on the left side of the bike, just below the fuel tank. It is a black plastic box with a hinged cover. Inside the fuse box, you will find a number of fuses, each of which is responsible for protecting a different electrical circuit on the bike.
The headlight fuse is located in the top-left corner of the fuse box. It is a 10-amp fuse. If the headlight fuse blows, your headlights will not work.
Other important fuses in the fuse box include the ignition fuse, the turn signal fuse, and the horn fuse. If any of these fuses blows, the corresponding electrical component will not work.
