Where is the oil dipstick for a 1998 1500 vl suzuki intruder?

The oil dipstick is located on the left hand side of the motorcycle, just behind the front sprocket cover. It is a long metal rod with a yellow or orange handle. To check the oil level, remove the dipstick and wipe it clean. Then insert it back into the oil filler hole and remove it again. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
