Why is gas leaking out of your carburetor on Honda XR-100?

Fuel Hose

The fuel hose may be torn or cracked. Check the fuel hose for any damage. If that’s the case then replace the hose.

Fuel Tank Vent Cap

The vent cap is used to regulate fuel pressure and avoid any pressurization in the fuel tank. If the cap is clogged, the pressure will build up and force the fuel out of the carburetor.

Defective Carburetor Float Valve

The carburetor’s float valve regulates fuel flow into the carburetor. If the float valve is stuck open, it can cause the fuel to overflow through the carburetor’s overflow port and lead to a leak.

Damaged Choke Valve

The choke valve is used to enrich the fuel mixture when starting the engine. If the choke valve is stuck in the open position, the fuel can flow through the carburetor and lead to a leak.
