1. Prepare Yourself and the Motorcycle:
- Wear appropriate riding gear, including a helmet, eye protection, gloves, sturdy footwear, and protective clothing.
- Ensure that the motorcycle is in proper working condition, with sufficient fuel and tire pressure, and that all controls are functioning correctly.
- Adjust the motorcycle's mirrors and controls to suit your comfort and visibility.
2. Mounting the Motorcycle:
- Stand close to the motorcycle on the left side, facing forward.
- Hold the left handlebar with your left hand and place your left foot on the left footpeg.
- Swing your right leg over the seat, being careful not to touch the hot exhaust pipe.
- Sit comfortably on the seat and place your right foot on the right footpeg.
3. Starting the Motorcycle:
- Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
- Pull in the clutch lever with your left hand to disengage the transmission.
- Press the starter button with your right thumb to start the engine.
- Release the clutch lever slowly while giving it a little bit of throttle with your right hand to prevent the motorcycle from stalling.
4. Riding the Motorcycle:
- Keep the clutch lever pulled in while shifting gears.
- Use the left foot lever to shift gears up and the right foot lever to shift gears down.
- Accelerate by twisting the throttle with your right hand and release it to decelerate.
- Use the front brakes with the right handlebar lever and the rear brakes with the right foot lever.
- Maintain proper body posture and distribute your weight evenly on the motorcycle.
5. Steering and Handling:
- Steer by gently turning the handlebars in the desired direction.
- Keep your arms relaxed and avoid putting too much pressure on the handlebars.
- Practice turning and maneuvering in a safe, open area to get a feel for the motorcycle's handling.
6. Braking and Stopping:
- Use both front and rear brakes simultaneously for balanced stopping power.
- Apply brakes gradually and smoothly to avoid skidding.
- Practice emergency braking in a safe area to learn how to stop quickly and effectively.
7. Stopping and Dismounting:
- Choose a safe and level surface to stop.
- Bring the motorcycle to a complete stop by using both front and rear brakes.
- Shift to neutral gear.
- Turn off the engine by turning the key to the "OFF" position.
- Dismount the motorcycle by placing your left foot on the ground, then swinging your right leg over the seat and standing up.
