The oil filter on the Yamaha XT125 is located on the left side of the engine, just behind the kickstarter. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black cap.
Oil Filter Removal and Replacement
1. First, you need to drain the oil from the engine. This can be done by removing the oil drain plug, which is located on the bottom of the engine. Be sure to place an oil pan under the drain plug to catch the oil. Allow all of the oil to drain out.
2. Next, you need to locate the oil filter. The oil filter is located on the left side of the engine, just behind the kickstarter. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black cap.
3. Once you have found the oil filter, you need to remove it. To do this, use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter cap. Be careful not to spill any oil.
4. After you have removed the oil filter cap, you need to remove the oil filter element. The oil filter element is located inside the oil filter cap. To remove it, simply pull it out of the cap.
5. Once you have removed the oil filter element, you need to inspect it. Look for any damage or wear. If the oil filter element is damaged or worn, it needs to be replaced.
6. If the oil filter element is in good condition, you can reinstall it. To do this, simply insert it into the oil filter cap and screw the cap back on.
7. Finally, you need to add new oil to the engine. The oil fill plug is located on the top of the engine. Add the recommended amount of oil to the engine. Be careful not to overfill the engine with oil.
